What are the career fairs like?

Masses of people? Too hard to get an internship? Pushy, etc.

It’s set up in Pauley as a mass of tables with individual organizations and their staff at each one. You walk around, stopping where you see fit, chat with the people at the desk, maybe hand over a resume or schedule an interview, get documents (and free pens), and walk on and repeat.

There are usually lots of students there, enough to have at least 1-2 at EVERY table, with the popular orgs having 5+. It doesn’t take too long to get to your “turn,” but it might make some people feel a little claustrophobic.

All of that said: if you’re not tech, non-profit, internship or business-oriented, Cal career fairs likely going to be a waste of time.
