Fantastic! They do a great job on revisit. If you felt like it was home, you can now focus on graduation and the friends you’ve been going to school with these past two years. If not, are you still open to the other schools (sent a letter of continuing interest)? You seemed to like Exeter.
Quick update:
I will indeed be heading to Andover in the fall. I’ve taken all the placement tests and forms. I’m wondering if anyone has an answer to a few questions.
- When do I find out what dorm I’m in/who my roommate is?
- When do I find out my placement results?
- What are some things I should make sure to pack?
Thank you so much.
- Late-summer pretty much a week or so before school.
- Beginning of the year during orientation.
- Fan, shower slides, comfortable bedding including mattress topper (forgot the specific size; twin, I think, but they tell you), small whiteboard and dry-erase markers, rainboots.
Plus, the usual stuff you’d bring like personal care products, etc. The good news for you is you live close enough to not have to bring heavy winter stuff til later.
I note I would guess there have been or soon will be emails to parents explaining the schedule for various notifications, providing links to packing lists, and so on. I don’t know for sure about Andover, but that has been happening with all the other incoming boarding school parents I know.
I thought all schools/colleges uses twin xl.
Depending on the person, a mattress pad and/or topper may not be necessary. (My kid would prefer Sparta to Athens.)
