What are the chances of UCSD readmitting someone after they withdrew his admission?

my friend was accepted into ucsd through tag but after the spring semester, he went down to like a 2.98ish i think. he’s going to appeal but i was wondering if anyone had any experience or know of the chances of him getting readmitted. thanks!

your friend?

yes. you know him?

You have to try to control yourself. Having seen the threads you posted, I understand your feelings. But being rational and not letting yourself to do something wrong just because of your personal emotions is what we as human beings should be capable of, and how we make ourselves a respected person; and learning to do so is also one of the purposes of higher education. A college is just an organization made up by students and faculties. While some colleges are deemed better than others, it’s possible to make your college better only if you as a student of your college pay effort to make yourself better, and I guess what I mentioned above is one of the ways you can do so.

…
anyone?

I so agree with jackiech

i don’t get it…what’s wrong with UCKittyChen.

and does anyone answer relevant questions on here anymore?

i agree with jackiech and berkeleyphil

i will try to help u out princesstiara…ill be honest, ur friend is in a horrible situation because this was a tough year for ucsd and they r actually making it tougher next year. his chances r extremely low, also considering that i heard the UC’s over admitted this year.
with that said i would recommend telling ur friend to take a semester at CC with easy, grade padding, gpa boosting classes.
wish him my best of luck!
everything is worth a try

Do you have a compelling explanation for not being able to maintain a 3.0 GPA?
such as death of a family member or close friend?

he said he will talk about personal circumstances in his appeal but I don’t know how personal those circumstances are. I just wanted to help him bc I felt bad. Lol it’s not me! If it was me, I would have just said it was me who got rescinded. But thanks guys. I guess we can only cross our fingers for him :(

Oh sorry I apologize I mean your friend, not you.
The only thing that your friend can possibly be readmitted is a good explanation. I would say stop worrying about the chances and focus on writing the appeal letter. Also, getting rescinded is not the end of the world. I myself have spent three years in CC and I know many people have spent more than that.

wait i missed what you were saying jackie.

What Jackie is basically trying to say is “stop being a smartass.” Unfortunately, there’s no nice way to say that.
