If you are not a senior, work on getting your scores up and on trying to increase your GPA. If you are a senior, you will want to consider other schools where your application is more competitive. If Georgia Tech is your ultimate goal, you may want to look for schools with a strong transfer connection with Tech.

Just to throw it out there, here’s some good information about dual degree programs* in the college of engineering. The way a dual degree program works is that you attend another college first for 3 years, then transfer to Tech for another 2 years. After the total 5 years, you’re awarded two BS degrees (one from the first college and one from Tech). So after 5 years (which is what a typical engineering degree takes anyway), you would have (for example) a BS in Mathematics from Berry College and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech.

There are some good schools on there, both public and private from all over the Southeast and Georgia. If you’re interested in a medical career (from your volunteer work), you could look at Morehouse (the only school on the list that I recognized as having an MD program).
