<p>A few important characteristics</p>
<p>1) Humor!
2) Knowledge about the topic especially knowin gthe curriculum and the tests for AP classes.
3) Being fair, favoritism no thanks.
4) Someone who actually spends time doing work and makes an effort. Lazy teachers are the worst, especially the ones that assign insane busy work.
5) A teacher who stays after school more than once a week to help their students
6)A teacher who teaches because of their love of the subject, not the long Summer vacations and time off. </p>
<p>I think thats it, still waitin for a teacher with all of those things.</p>
<p>Tangents, needs good tangents to go off on.
Easily distracted, so he or she can go off on said tangents oftenly.
Doesn’t make homework worth points.
Wholesome person, doesn’t worry about their ego if he or she gets something wrong.
Intelligent in areas beside subject.
Allows students to discuss important issues affecting them, ie US elections, military draft possibility, etc. and give their opinion without enforcing it.</p>
<p>Someone who can make learning fun, while being able to stay on their subject. Like this year, I had the best time in my world history class, but I think we learned more about my teacher’s life than we did about the subject itself. </p>
<p>Also someone who’s easy going and can be lax every once in a while, but still keeps things consistent. Oh, and knowing things OUTSIDE of the textbook and being able to answer questions is always a plus…I’ve had many teachers who were quite lacking in those areas…</p>
