<p>I’m really want to join either the Rotary club or either key club. I’m leaning towards the Rotary club b/c it is really meaningful (combating hunger…disease).</p>
<p>Honestly, none.
It only matters which club you do better in and enjoy more. If you genuinely enjoy a certain club, you will excel past your peers and thus leadership positions can be an option. The goal is leadership here.</p>
<p>Most college admissions officers don’t care about ECs. They make decisions only based on your stats and – if it’s a public college – state of residence. At most, ECs count for merit aid.</p>
<p>The exceptions are places like HPYS, but they won’t care whether youre in Rotary or Key Club. What they would care about is what you accomplished in whatever ECs you choose. To stand out in their admission, one has to be far more than a member in any club: One would need more than an office, too. One would need to have accomplished something major – such as having organized a major project that had a major impact, for instance.</p>
