what are the easiest work-study jobs at Georgetown?

Past year my work study took almost more time than the school itself. This was very different for other work study positions where students just signed in, did a couple of tasks (like cleaning off the dust etc) and they were free the rest of the time. Their supervisor was not even there so they were not under someone’s scrutiny every second of their working hours. What are the best jobs in this regard on campus? I would not want to end up with a job that pays close to minimum wage and demands what a $30/hour job would demand.

Library front-desk assistant, student guard… all easy jobs that you can basically study during… they pay anywhere between $8/9 to 10 to start off with, but you get small raises here and there, but basically you get paid to do your HW… especially with work study, it costs the departments 50%+ less to hire you, so they typically go for those first…

Student guard is absolutely the way to go. You can just sit there at the desk “guarding” the building while you read. Technically, you’re not supposed to do that and you’re not allowed to have a computer, but “who watches the watchmen?” (answer: no one, so long as you show up you can do whatever you want).

^ lol way for turning a philosophical question into a reason for not doing your job

Question about workstudies at Georgetown, how do you sign up for them?!

Federal Workstudy is something given to you as part of your financial aid package, so you can’t sign up for it, but if you’re referring to how you’re going to find a job on campus that takes work study kids… I believe most people use Student Employment Home;

Hey sophomore12, I was awarded one in my financial aid package. I was just unsure as to how to go about applying for them. I’ll check out the link you posted, thanks!
