What are the high school course requirements for the college of engineering?

?

http://engineering.berkeley.edu/admissions/undergrad-admissions/prospective-freshman-faqs suggests, beyond the usual UC a-g requirements, as much math as you can and physics.

So four years of english is still required?

Yes, everything on that A-G list is very much REQUIRED. Otherwise, you don’t stand a chance.

You might see “admission by exam” and “admission by exception” (to become eligible to apply to UC) on UC web pages. However, it is likely that these are mainly for home school and other non-traditionally educated high school students, not those in regular public or private high schools who skipped some a-g courses or got low grades in them.

got it. actually i have a non-traditional high school education (skipped ninth grade), but i would definitely qualify by admission by exam. thanks!
