Out of say 1st and 2nd tier I guess. Why are they that way? Thanks! CC is so helpful!

EXETER:):) I loveeeeeee it…i just don’t go there yet :)

lol i dont think candidate123 seems to understand what pretentious means… it’s not exactly a good thing.

most and LEAST

IMO - Least: St. Andrew’s

somebody needs to look at some vocab flash cards haha
groton: most pretentious

haha sorry i was really tired :):):)

Groton definetly didn’t seem the most pretentious (prehaps a little but i definetly saw far worst. Prep school is quite pretentious almost by definition) when I visited and I have experience in that field… Why do you think that Hcos?

it is really the only school, sort of stuck in the older ways of prep schools with the desks, eight grade classes

Pretentious:
characterized by pretension: as a : making usually unjustified or excessive claims (as of value or standing) <the pretentious=“” fraud=“” who=“” assumes=“” a=“” love=“” of=“” culture=“” that=“” is=“” alien=“” to=“” him=“” —=“” richard=“” watts=“”> b : expressive of affected, unwarranted, or exaggerated importance, worth, or stature </the>

I fail to see how holding to tradition is pretentious. As long as it’s done in moderation I think it’s a great thing but everyone to their own.

depends on what you think is pretentious, blue raven. See, pretentious is someone being pompous… so whatever floats your boat.

If you want to argue with the dictionary… /eye-roll/ I’m sure you know the definition better.

pretentiousnes to me is trying to be all posh and snobby when you’re really not… It’d be like if Groton opened last year and had all those traditions just to be classical and posh., at least to me. Any adults want to give their definition
