^^^^Yup, that was it. The student lives in a city where the most moldy, run down, AWFUL houses are 2 million minimum, so why is she being punished?
“My parents bought a winter home in Boca last year and now they can’t afford to send me to Yale. HELP!!!”
Also, I was accused of stalking a new CCer because I looked up his posting history and posted some major inconsistencies in his stats.
The one from the EFC 0 kid whose unemployed mom gave the $650k rental property to the adult daughter.
The one with the freshman worried that her 2 B’s will keep her out of UCLA.
@GMTplus7 Well, if you include the state cutoff related commentary embedded in this thread as well as others on the same theme, I think it amounts to hundreds.
@Madison85, link please? Have to check that one out!
See Post #15-16-17 for the gift of the $650k rental property.
Another thread complaining about having to shoulder crushing debt to indulge in a Musical Theater program in NY City.
17 year olds advising other 17 year olds on the best way to prepare for a job on Wall Street.
“How can I pretend to be in-state to avoid OSS costs?” In other words, help me break the law and rip off the taxpayers of a state I don’t live in!!
^^^My friend tried to do that with a LAWYER, and I was thinking, “bro, you and your entire family be stoopid to think that’s possible”
There’s been a recent increase in the number of high school freshmen and sophomores in the Chances forum. Calm down. You’ve got 2-3 years before this matters. 2 B’s won’t kill you.
The ones where a conversation has been active and interesting, and one or 2 posters come in and completely take the tread off topic. If you want to talk about that off topic issue, start another thread. Don’t derail an interesting discussion.

No matter what was the original intention, it always become a Chinese or Asian bashing thread.
The threads where a poster’s bias against a certain school runs rampant throughout the thread despite multiple attempts by other posters to get the thread back on track.
The threads where complete strangers PM me and ask me to chance them. (Giving me a link to their post.) This had happened 2 times in as many weeks. While I might comment on a chance thread, I have never chanced anyone, ever. The most recent (today) was an 8th grader.
The threads where strangers PM me to ask about specific questions on a makeup SAT test so that they can try to figure out which previous SAT test was reused for that test date (in the US).
For me, it’s not so much about annoying threads but annoying posters. I never dreamed there were so many humblebraggarts with such a plethora of first-world problems until I joined CC. I read some of this stuff and I’m like, “Oh, cry me a river.”
Another thread asking which major should they choose, on the basis of which major pays the highest salary.
