<p>Medicine is certainly the most prestigious and respected.</p>
<p>However, engineering is the only path that gives you at least a minor chance of being uber wealthy.</p>
<p>^ Definitely not true… Doctors may take the cake for having the most bragging rights simply because of the rigorous education and specialization they’ve had to go through to get to where they are. But engineers and lawyers are certainly on the same level in terms of what makes one ‘uber wealthy.’ Certain types of engineers make much less than say corporate lawyers and vice versa. What each group contributes to society is more or less the same contribution, yet each contribute a different benefit to society.</p>
<p>You’ll work your butt off, at any rate. I would rather be a lawyer, but doctors probably get respected more.</p>
