What are the most useful SAT IIs?

Hi,
I was contemplating taking SAT IIs this summer but was not sure which three to take. Overall, what are the most useful/impressive SAT IIs, assuming you have sufficient knowledge of that subject. Secondly, is there really any use in taking the SAT II for a subject you got a 5 in?

thanks!

The most impressive would be.
Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Hebrew, Japanese, German, and French. Get 800s on all of them then you will be unstoppable.

It all depends on the college and your major. For instance, institutes of technology would be more impressed if you aced some science subjects rather than foreign languages.

As far as I know, Literature is considered the hardest subject and consequently, a good score would be esteemed.

I wanted to take Chinese this month but they don’t have it :(

I’ve heard Chemistry is hard, but only to those who havent gone through the whole AP Chem thing, otherwise it’s easy. Right?

I have heard this about Biology. :frowning:
Regarding Chemistry I’ve heard it’s much easier than the AP, anyway I might be wrong.

Eh, anywho. I am going to take Literature (it is pretty standard!! and i dont think it is that hard based on practice tests…)

For the ordinary folks like us Lit is pretty harsh, for debate addicts though, it’s not, probably because they read a lot to support their debate. :P

I was kidding obviously!!!
You’d think it’s obvious, but NOOOOOOOO
:D

Thanks for the replies.
For a Bio major, what would be useful other than Bio?
And back to my first question, is there use in taking SAT II, say Bio, when I already got a 5 on the AP test?

It’s not going to hurt you, but it’s not going to wow them as well. If you really want to dazzle them with your extracurriculars, then all you have to do is take a challenging workload and excel at it.

Math 2, any science, eng. lit., and a foreign language

math II , a science and a foreign language

For a Bio major, I reckon Bio and Chem should be a must-take. If you’re planning to take a third subject take Math L2, if you’re applying to colleges that demand it like MIT or CIT, otherwise choose any subject of your preference.
Usually it is good to prove proficiency on a subject by taking the SSAT as well as the AP, and it wouldn’t be that difficult because SSAT is usually easier than its AP counterpart.
