<p>Does anyone know what the orientations are about? Will I get a dorm to stay in with other students? Do I have to sign up for it? Do I sign up for my classes during the orientation?</p>

<p>during orientation you sign up for classes, take placement test, meet your advisor, and generally learn about nyu. yes you have to go to orientation. </p>
<p>Orientation was a great experience, and most of my closest friends are from my orientation group.</p>
<p>actually, you don’t have to attend but it’s highly recommended</p>
