What are the Rules for EA?

different depending on the schools you apply to

usuall it’s non binding and u can apply to as many schools as you want.

You really have to check on each school’s website. Some schools like Boston College, U.of Chicago, have simple EA, where you apply by a certain date, say Nov.1, and they let you know by Dec.15. The decision is non-binding, and you could apply anywhere else RD or ED while you were waiting for, or even after receiving, your EA results.

Other schools like Yale, Harvard, have SCEA, which is Single Choice Early Action. The decision is also non-binding, however you are not allowed to apply to any other ED or EA schools until after the results are out. You may usually apply to one SCEA school and several RD schools simuntaneously.
