This is a random thread I felt like making.
Basically, just reveal what “great” feats you have completed that you are proud of.

Here goes mine:

I have not eaten at Crossroads since 11/2/2007. I lived in the dorms for three years, and this year I have an off-campus meal plan. During Summer 2008, I lived in Unit 2 for 8 weeks, and I even managed to never eat at Crossroads (I had a 200 point surplus at the end, but that was being there were strikes that closed parts of the non-C-store parts of the GBC and Ramona’s for two weeks).

Here goes mine:
I have actually gone to an average of more than 80%* of all my classes since freshman year, which is probably more than 99% of the student population.

no consciousness or note-taking requisite

A certain computer science course required use of a lab with a limited number of workstations that students usually had to wait for. I figured out that the best time to go to find a free workstation was 8:00 in the morning.

These days, students could probably do the same projects much more quickly on a $300 computer in their dorm room.

The only reason I’ve never pulled an all nighter was because I couldn’t do it. Around 3 am my eyes are usually aching to close. After taking psych of sleep last semester, I’m glad I’ve never done it.

As for my greatest feats? I guess talking more is one of them. Before coming here I was so intimidated I never liked to speak, but here I am kind of forced to go out and fight for opportunities. I also attend all of my classes…I can’t believe some people skip them.

I’m pretty sure this doesn’t count as a Berkeley feat, but one thing that’s happened since I’ve got here is that all my peers have complemented how godly my hand-writing is, especially on the way I take notes. It’s not much, but it’s kind of nice when someone who I don’t know looks at my notes during lectures and is awestruck…and when the GSIs write “Nice penmanship” on my problem sets.

Wow, my life is pretty sad.

(On a serious note, I haven’t had alcohol at all either. I’m currently 20 and have plans to wait until I turn 21, and even then I’ll probably only have a few drinks here and there for social occasions.)

At first I was gonna say I’m surprised that there’s people who haven’t drank before. But then I realized I’m on an Internet forum for Berkeley. :)

3/4 of the fun in drinking (in my honest opinion) is the fact that you are underage…

I know its not a great feat, but I’ve been hit by more rejection in these past two weeks than I have in the past two years.

I like to think it’s a good experience because it’s making me more resilient and forcing me to speak up for myself. Then again…I think I’m rationalizing.

I am kind of disappointment that no one called my feat insane/crazy. Whenever I tell any of my friends about that they react such. I have an admittedly pointless war on Crossroads.

Despite being a hideous drunken, spaced out, bipolar-2 mess – graduating with a 3.5 and honors in my majors. Of course, people call one a fluff major, but you try doing intensive, original(ish) research while blown out of your mind and actually remembering it and realizing what a cluster***** our economic and energy situation was years before the crash. And they called me mad! maniacal cackling

Graduated cum laude while partying so much I would miss all classes for stretches of weeks at a time as we road tripped or were too hungover to walk all the way to class.

When Raleighs was changed to Manny´s for half a year I managed to get their complimentary T-Shirt which you only earn if you drink all 43 different beers they have on tap.

Been ejected from at least 3 Cal sporting events, including a lifetime ban for all Cal Hockey games.

Never had class MWF, with the exception of Wednesday section meetups one semester, for a year and a half.

Got all A+'s for my finals my last semester, in fact, every exam was an A+ with the exception of a single midterm which earned me a 94. (Although that semester was only 12 units and all 3 classes were social science, one of wich was lower div.)

Graduated cum laude despite 2 semesters of academic probation.

Landed my dream job within 3 months of graduating.

Still make time to travel and see my college buddies when I get the chance.
