Aside from my ritualistic Dartmouth dance every night before bed, I have also been saving my Dartmouth t-shirt until the decision day… I am a competitive sailor and I have been told that wearing the t-shirt from the regatta you are sailing in before it is over with is bad luck. So it has been tucked away in my drawer for weeks.

Does anyone else have superstitious rituals?

Oh, see, I wear my D stuff all the time! I feel closer to it when I do, lol.

I have soooo many rituals and superstitions, though…my God…like, blu, remember, I told you that I freaked about using the handicapped stall the other day? I was like, oh no, this makes me a bad person and my colleges will know it!

Well I have a specific shirt that I am going to wear that day… along with some specific boxers and a sweatshirt. So I’ve got the clothes covered.

I will probably try to say some kind of prayer the night before, even though I’m not religious.

And for months now I’ve been “wishing” like mad: holding my breath through tunnels and making a wish, blowing an eyelash off my finger and making a wish, seeing a shooting star and making a wish…etc etc.

I’ve also forbidden myself from saying the opposite of “I will get into Dartmouth” (or else I’d jinx myself).

So of course I have to get in now. I hope so!!

same here… its def bad luck to wear college clothes before learning of your acceptance/rejection/waitlisting (lol i think I covered all the bases there…)

Green, as everyone knows, is a lucky color (St Patty’s day etc.) and loyalty and devotion are providential virtues—I wore my (green) dartmouth gear for days before ed.
