What are your opinions on Bradley university, UIC, SIUE????

I’m majoring in computer science!
And hows the soccer team?

If you’re majoring in CS then you should look at UIUC.
UIC has a pretty good CS program, and I think they have (or did have) one of the best soccer teams in the nation

I think uiuc is a reach for me. What do you think about the above mentioned ?

One of my good friends did his undergrad at Bradley, and is now on his second year of grad school there. He’s a poli-sci major, so I can’t speak about the computer science department specifically, but he’s always loved it there. I’ve visited there on a couple occasions, and found it to have a great atmosphere. It’s somewhat more liberal, with a lot of open-minded, intellectual leaning types.

I’m not a sports person, so I couldn’t tell you the first thing about their soccer team.

UIC has a fairly highly regarded comp-sci department…and being right in downtown Chicago is a huge plus.

And I agree about UIUC…even if it’s a reach, it doesn’t hurt to apply. They have an EXCELLENT comp-sci department.

Thank you! How hard is uic to get into?

No problem. I’d also mention that Bradley has a pretty good amount of people that like to party too, if you’re into that. That’s not to say that every single person there is partying all the time though…there are a lot of really smart, intellectual people there that take their academics very seriously.

UIC isn’t as hard as some of the other Illinois state schools to get into, but I believe their computer science program has slightly higher credentials than other parts of the school. Are you a transfer or a freshman? It’s harder to get into UIC than it is to get into NIU for instance, but not as hard as UIUC.

I’m a freshman, i think thats my first choice because its in the city and i could get an internship
