Much depends on your standardized test scores.

how high should they be? what about sat subject tests? im taking a few at the end of the year including bio, spanish, etc

It is best if you take your SAT subject tests one at a time. Though it is not necessary, you should get 800s or at least the high 700s on them (except foreign languages, anything above 700 is pretty good unless if you’re a native speaker. Then there is not much of a point to the that SAT II). The subject tests should be pretty easy, especially if you take them in May/June, right after you take the relevant class and also study.

If you take the SAT I just once, a 2200+ and 700+ in each subject are pretty solid for any school. If you take more times, a 2250+ is ideal and/or a 2300+ superscore.

I’m not a native speaker but very good at spanish… not to be boastful but i got the highest score on long island (native speakers included) on a national spanish language test, but have no intentions on a career in spanish. should i still take it for a possible chance in getting an 800?
