What books should I use the second time around?

I got a score of 21 the first time which is average. I already finished “The Real ACT Prep Guide” which I did too early in advance. Should i just buy the book again? I already have Princeton Review and The Red Book. Should I get Barrons?

It seems like you need actual help with the content of the exam if you got a 21 composite. ( Are you SURE you thoroughly went through the red book?) Anyways, I would suggest Barrons and Princeton Review lessons. After you boost up your score, I would suggest Princeton’s review 1296 questions. That book can REALLY surpass original expectations of how well you can do. I went from ~28 composite in the beginning of my Junior year, to ~32-34 composite right now. It can really help you develop insight to why each question is being asked, and what the test makers want you to believe the answer is. You kind of develop a sixth sense. ( Terrible movie :P) Also, don’t let anyone tell you that there is a “maximum” score you can achieve, because I am the antithesis of this belief. My friend went from a 22 to a 31 after a summer of practice. ( ~3 full ACT books with about 10 tests total.)
