Im just very confused on what to select for the race box for applications in general. I’m half Korean, half Moroccan. My mom has been pressuring me to put down African American, as well as some friends, but I’m pretty light skinned, so I feel as if it isn’t that fair. I don’t identify as white either. Should I just forego the race section altogether? Thanks in advanced.

Most Moroccans are Berber or Arab, not Negroid. Berber & Arab are presently classified as White, although the US Census is considering breaking out Arabs as a totally separate category. But Berber & Arab are definitely are NOT Black/Afirican-American,
I think you should probably follow your mothers advice rather than people who don’t even know you.

You could put other or “unidentify” yourself.
