Little Debbie. Also Grandma’s.
Chips Ahoy. Definitely not worth the calories - or being called chocolate chip cookies.
Grandma’s brand cookies are like cardboard.
You are all tough customers. I love Chips Ahoy. I don’t eat maybe one a year but it tastes good to me.
Too funny. I love most of the things you all don’t.
Miracle Whip
Bounty select a size
French’s mustard
Cool Whip (though now I love coco-whip)
Northern TP, can’t stand Scott, Charmin, Cottonelle
Palmolive
Velveeta
However, don’t like Twinkees, Little Debbies, Oreos.
Re: Miracle Whip
https://delishably.com/sauces-preserves/Differences-Between-Mayonnaise-and-Miracle-Whip and https://www.realsimple.com/food-recipes/shopping-storing/food/miracle-whip-mayonnaise mention that it was introduced as a lower cost alternative to mayonnaise in 1933. Miracle Whip also contains substantial amounts of water and sweetener instead of oil.
@Creekland I do t even like coffee flavored ice cream. Anything coffee is off limits for me. We were a Diet Pepsi household but I stopped liking it and switched to Diet Coke.
My mother is very, I mean VERY, critical of food. She used to love Wonder bread, then it was bought out by another company (name escapes me), they changed the recipe and she didn’t like it any more. She complained to every store employee who would listen!
Carnation coffee ‘creamer’ - ANY fake creamer
Soda of any kind - unless I have a gastric issue and then a few tablespoons of ice cold Coke - the real stuff.
Smuckers jam or jelly - way to sweet
Jiffy Peanut butter - or any peanut butter that is something other than just ground peanuts
That ‘lemon juice’ that comes in the little plastic lemons
Ragu, Prego sauces - again way to sweet
Ocean Spray cranberry juice - it’s not juice is a sweeter with color
Mom was the ultimate food ‘hippie’…(that was the only hippy thing about her)…if it came in a package and could live on a shelf for half an eternity we didn’t get to eat it.
Wonder Bread, Cool Whip, and Miracle Whip are garbage.
And whoever posted that they won’t buy anything not made in the USA is SOL since there aren’t any computers/laptops/phones that aren’t made in China.
I tried a Peep right before Easter for the first time in years…it tasted disgusting! I can’t believe I used to like those.
Same with Candy Corn, how did I ever like these? They taste so odd.
Politics and beliefs aside…what is the big deal about Chick-Fil-A? I tried it to see what all the fuss is about, and it wasn’t that good…all their food was plain and the chicken was dry.
The Chik-Fil-A sauce. It’s addictive.
Chick-Fil-A is a great company which emphasizes customer service and keeps its menu manageable. It’s really rising in the fast food world. We get the little breakfast sandwiches at work (a vendor sends them once a month or so) and they are terrific.
I love Wonder Bread- used to squish it up in a ball and eat it! (I no longer do this)
With respect to instant coffee, I dislike any brand name instant coffee other than Starbucks. Black, no sugar or other sweetner.
Always disappointed with Omaha Steaks filet mignons–although I have not tried the thicker cuts. Locally purchased steaks seem better to me.
Zataran’s Rice.
I have miracle whip once a year. After thanksgiving, on a leftover turkey sandwich with mw and canned cranberry on toast. Hubby is disgusted but I love it.
I grew up forbidden to chew gum or drink anything sugary. I vowed to drink kool aid every day of my life. Turns out I don’t like gum or sugary drinks. Except daiquiris.
Taste of foods in various places is totally subjective. Most folks I know, including us, love the flavor of Chick Fil A. It gets more business here than the McD’s right next door. McD’s is second in #of people going there of local fast food places.
My absolute favorite is their waffle fries. For main meals I like their tenders or grilled chicken sandwich. I know at school some students tell me they love their spicy chicken. Most of us also love their lemonade.
For breakfast, their version of tater tots beats any other fast food place too.
We were in FL this past winter and were sitting next to a table of folks from MI who had never tried CFA. They were raving about how good it tasted and wished one would locate near them.
YMMV - tastes are different. If they depended upon our family, Panera wouldn’t exist. We’ve tried them a couple of times and still wonder what all the fuss is about. I don’t care for Wendy’s. H loves them. None of us care for Cam’s pizza. A lady checking us into a motel in central NY tried to tell us how awesome they were - her favorite. None of us can stand Church’s Fried Chicken - Popeye’s is our favorite. A close co-worker at school is exactly the opposite.
Human differences in taste keep many places open.
I hate the “New” Butterfinger candy. This was my all-time favorite candy since I was a kid. They sold the company and “improved” the ingredients about a month ago. I will never eat another one.
I do prefer Miracle Whip to mayo and any Coke to any Pepsi product. Well, maybe not any. I haven’t tried the new Vanilla Orange yet.
(Psst - I live in Texas and don’t like Whataburger or Shipley’s. I know, Sacrilege!)
“Mainstream” toothpaste of any kind, Crest, Colgate, etc. I switched to toothpaste without sweeteners over a year ago because all the mainstream ones had whitening ingredients that irritated my mouth. So now, if I try using someone else’s toothpaste, it tastes so sweet it’s like brushing with bubblegum. Bleccchhh.
Diet Coke is the nastiest substance known to mankind.
