Wonder Bread
Blue cheese actually makes me vomit (as one restaurant can attest).
I hate mayonnaise, grew up on Miracle Whip. I don’t eat much of it, tuna salad mostly, but only buy the store brand version.
It’s funny, my dad thought mayonnaise was disgusting and I never really had either mayo or Miracle Whip much when I was a kid, and didn’t have a preference for either. Now I’ll buy mayo sometimes for egg salad but I doubt I could tell the difference between real mayo and miracle whip in a taste test. I probably like real mayo better but don’t really know.
I do like Coke Zero better than diet coke or anything pepsi.
I don’t like most other processed food stuff. For chips I really like the kettle chip flavors.
Kid and I were surprised on a recent college tour that NYU has a Chik Fil A given their politics. Food is tasty but political stuff is problematic.
“I doubt I could tell the difference between real mayo and miracle whip in a taste test.”
I bet you could tell. There’s a marked difference.
Yeah, I don’t do Chik Fil A. Never understood the hype about the food and the non-food issues make it a no.
Starbucks
All Soda
Miracle Whip - ewww
Tide - can’t stand the odor
Liverwurst ?
NASTY!!!
I don’t think I ever had Miracle Whip. Now I have to try to see why it’s hated so much.
I love Liverwurst? Have you had it in Munich?
Are we talking about foods we dislike or brands we dislike (if it matters)?
Goops, did I mess up? Is there a brand called “Liverwurst”?
Vienna sausage (I don’t know how it got that name, because nobody eats these in Vienna.)
Canned beats
Sodas of any kind
Buttermilk
Spam
Ok, those aren’t brands, but I wanted to put in my two cents anyway.
Auntie Anne’s pretzels - I can’t stand the taste or the smell. I’m obviously in the minority since there is usually a line to buy their pretzels.
I don’t like Miracle Whip or Hellman’s, Duke’s Mayonnaise is the best…
I never drink soda—grew up in the Midwest where we called it pop. My mom was a health food fanatic from the 60s on and never bought us pop and told us it was poison! As a result, I never developed a taste for it.
Scott toilet paper. My parents (immigrants) were the cheapest people on earth and they bought the cheapest brand of everything. Scott toilet paper is just awful IMO; it falls apart while you use. When my Dad passed away my brother and I found 75 rolls of Scott tp. It must have been on sale!
Miracle Whip, Cool Whip,
Fig Newtons
Love Chick Fil A! Really dislike Wendys - esp since FIL used to insist we eat there all the time. Now we have him switched over to Hardees when we’re with him (most of the time) and that’s better. He’ll also do McDs which is ok - never my first choice though. Chick Fil A, Arbys, or Popeyes are our first choice pending what we feel like eating. BK or Hardees if H needs a burger joint. I’m not usually a burger fan.
Hawaii got us addicted to Spam. I don’t think I ever had it before going there back in 2006. Now we eat it 2-3 times per year and could easily eat it more often if it weren’t so unhealthy! Love Auntie Annes too - only their regular pretzels and pretzel dogs though - not their specialty flavors (since they discontinued the whole wheat option anyway). We just finished up some Fig Newtons too - nice “trip” food.
This morning’s “catch up” read has me craving plenty of foods now (sigh). At least I don’t like Starbucks, Miracle Whip, and Blue Cheese!
Yuck to Hostess Twinkies, cupcakes and all the rest. Actually, yuck to all store cookies, except Tate Bake Shop. I do like Miracle Whip. Don’t like other mayonnaise.
Fig Newtons - bleh. Pretty much any Big Food packaged cookies - ugh. Wonderbread - awful. Somebody must love this stuff because these brand names have been around for ages!!
lol, I haven’t had a fig newton in years but I used to love them. Wonder if I still would. I also loved ding dongs and hohos as a kid. Tasted one a few years ago and practically spit it out! What was I thinking?? So processed and fake tasting.
I don’t know if they’re still around but I though Orange Julius tasted like perfume when I was growing up.
Another NO to Miracle Whip. Not much a mayonnaise fan either though; just enough to hold my egg or tuna salad together.
Northern TP is our go to.
I have always hated Twinkies, even as a child.
Orange Julius is merged with Dairy Queen around here, I don’t know if that’s everywhere in the country. I’ve been to Dairy Queen but I’ve never ordered an orange julius
I was a huge fan of Hostess cupcakes growing up. Would go to the liquor store every morning in high school and buy a pack of Trident gum and a pack of Hostess chocolate cupcakes. Didn’t care for HoHos or ding dongs. In high school and college my PMS go to was Little Debbies brownies. I could eat the entire box. Haven’t had them in years.
