But also focus specifically on Graphic Design not just the overall Fine arts
I’m having trouble finding universities (not art schools or private colleges) that offer a BA in graphic design without having to take irrelevant prereqs such as oil painting, ceramics, sculpture, art history, and other classes that don’t relate to the adobe programs or wordpress/HTML etc.
I only found one program at UCSD which only offers a certificate after completing one year of graphic design courses. I’m in the process of applying but my skepticism lies in the timing of the program as it seems like they are trying to cram in a lot of information at once and I don’t have the money to spend north of $25,000-$30,000 for a program that I leave feeling in adequate, ill prepared, and rushed.
I feel that as this point I have a better chance at just watching Lynda or youtube tutorials on graphic design and working at my own pace for free or maybe just getting an associates at my cc college. What do you think?

Did not know about assist.org @ucbalumnus - thank you, very interesting and handy!
Before I even saw ucbalumnus’s post I was going to recommend San Jose State. Excellent program. Can’t beat the location for internships.
