What californian or west coast 4 year university do I have chance with (Preferable a uc or csu)?

4 on ap world history test
1600 on kaplan’s mock sat in November
23 on kaplan’s mock act in November
taking act in April
taking sat in may
200 community service hours
-member of community service club (interact) (4years)

  • officer in red cross club (2years)
    -officer of french club (3years)
    -member of sharing club (special needs kids and regular kids interact)
    -plan on passing ap language and comp and ap us history exam (would lead to a grade bump= gpa bump
    -there is a good reason why gpa is low (major family problems freshmen year lowered my cumulative big time)
    -california resident

Chico, Sonoma and Perhaps UCM are all worth a look.

There are 23 Cal States, so you have many choices. First consider your in-service area Cal State where you would have priority. Your intended major will also determine what Cal States might be better fits than others. NCalRent gave you a few good suggestions, but it will depend upon your CSU GPA and your SAT/ACT scores to really pin point some good prospects. Here is the CSU/UC GPA calculator, so if you can get your UC GPA up to the 3.6-3.8 range, then UCSC and UCR would also be good choices.
