<p>My physics teacher has worked with the department chair of physics of UCI and I was wondering if that relationship could help my appeal. I applied for Physics and my teacher is willing to call him but would it really help any? Do you think that a department chair could influence an appeal?</p>
<p>It’s possible, if the department chair is willing to bother the admissions office. That’s a big if, I think.</p>
