I am sure I am not the only one with this question.

I am a transfer and just turned in all my applications via common app (4 days ago). Other than Boston College giving me a login and password to track what they have received I have not heard from any of the other schools.

On my common app they all say in progress. Is there any easy way to track which materials each schools has received?

If it shows up in the CommonApplication that all materials have been submitted (in green), you’re good. It may take time for them to process it, so just chilax for now.

Well, have you done the FAFSA and CSS/Profile, if any of your schools need the profile? I know most schools have a later due date for the financial stuff for transfers, so that would be next if you haven’t done them yet. Good luck to you!

I was just going to mention that (because we came very close to missing a deadline!) --all the schools may have different deadlines for the FAFSA and/or CSS. Start checking each and every schools financial aid page and get all the info. and deadlines written down. Guessing it’s all do either now or very soon!

What is the CSS profile? I’m sure I’ve heard of it. Maybe even done it before but remember I am a transfer and I have not gone through the application process in two years.

Go to the financial aid page at the website for every school you to which you applied. They will have some sort of list of what is required. If any of your schools indicate the CSS Profile is needed along with the FAFSA, you will need to then go to the College board website, and click “paying for college”. You will then select the 2011/2012 Profile. It takes some time to complete, and asks for more financial information than the FAFSA–some stuff the same, like income, etc, but then other things more in-depth, like the value of your home, equity, etc. Private schools are typically the ones that require the Profile, and not all private schools, just some.

@teachandmom Thank You! I guess its better to turn it in late than not at all. Some of my schools priority filing dates have passed but I did it anyways.
