What can I do to get the most financial aid and scholarship money as possible?

Apply to public schools in your home state where your stats put you well above the 75th percentile. That’s where you are most likely to see the most merit money.

Are you a NMF? If so, look at the pinned threads on this sub forum. You might qualify for good merit at some of the big state schools in the south.

I’m still confused though because in another thread you said you got an invite to interview for the UMD scholarship. What year are you and where are you in the process?

I don’t think you want the most financial aid/scholarship money- I think you want to figure out what your family can pay (if anything) and then figure out the most cost-effective way to get a degree. You could get a 35K scholarship and STILL not be able to afford to attend that college, AND have to pay for flights to get to and from.

Tell us what your family can pay, what your geographic parameters are and some direction in terms of what you’d like to study (no sense getting a full scholarship to a college with no nursing or engineering if you plan to study nursing or engineering).

And are you a senior or a junior?

If you are a junior and are low income, check out QuestBridge.

What year are you in high school?

Are you a NMF?

What is your major and career goal?

Are you a high school junior or senior?

junior

??? In another thread you said that you’ve been invited to interview for Banneker scholarship.

Schools are on budgets. The best aid, paying all four years, will come from your in-state universities. You can also check the south and midwest schools.

Other than that, you are own your own to pay the fees.
