<p>I’ve nine months of school left. I expect a 1900 on the SAT. I may take the ACT and the SAT(again).</p>

<p>I’ve fallen in love with this college and really want to be accepted. Help! :)</p>
<p>Since you won’t be able to bring your GPA up much you need to focus on the SAT/ACT.</p>
<p>Consider the SAT Subject Tests. They can help, although they shouldn’t be considered a substitute for the SATS.</p>
<p>Are you from NY? That will help, as 83% of their student body is in-state. It seems as though they admit a middling amount of people with lower GPAs (17% had a GPA of less than 3.5), so that shouldn’t necessarily put you out of the running. It looks like your SAT is right in the middle of their acceptance pool, so while it won’t put you at a disadvantage, it won’t make you stand out either. </p>
<p>Focus on those things that DO make you stand out. Is there an EC you’ve been particularly involved with? Any striking accomplishments? These sort of things don’t have to be in the curing cancer tier, being involved with virtually any activity will suffice, as long as you show you are dedicated to it. Colleges like to see passion. </p>
<p>Furthermore, if you really are in love with this school, show them this. Contact the admissions office. Ask (intelligent, well-directed) questions. Show interest. Interview, if possible. I honestly don’t know that much about the school, but I do know that putting yourself out there will set you apart from other applicants right off the bat. </p>
<p>tl;dr: Don’t be afraid to play up your strengths and show the full extent of you interest. In the end, remember that a 3.4 GPA will get you in other places, too, and is fairly solid. Best of luck!</p>
