What can I do with August?

<p>I’ve been taking community college classes all summer, but once they end I will have nothing to do but wait for college to start. It’s 4.5 weeks, am I being paranoid? </p>

<p>Any thoughts on something real I can do, other than beach, hanging out w/ friends etc. I don’t think anyone will hire me at a job for that short a time.</p>

<p>I think you should just chill and enjoy the rest of your time with your friends, whom you wont see for a long time.</p>

<p>Or maybe you can volunteer somewhere.</p>

<p>Your August sounds like my entire summer.</p>

<p>I’ve been splitting my time seeing concerts at small local venues, playing my guitar and piano more than ever, seeing movies, taking pictures, reading, going to friends’ houses to do nothing, watching CSI and Law and Order reruns, and getting my sleep on. CC + AIM + Facebook also takes up a lot of time. :)</p>

<p>The rest of my summer is a blank slate save for a birthday party in late July and three concerts in early August (all within like a week of each other, but I might not see the third one).</p>

<p>I love being in college now. School starts August 30th, we get a month between fall and spring semesters, and we’re done by the 20th.</p>

<p>The rest of my summer will be consumed by colorguard. Like, 12-hour days of spinning flag/rifle/sabre outside in southern weather.</p>

<p>I think the latest I’ve ever started is August 22, in kindergarten. My birthday is August 21, so that was the only time I started school the sane age as everybody else.</p>
