What can I still do to standout?

Up until my junior year I had been heavily involved in basketball, i played for my high school, i was a counselor at a basketball camp, i was an assistant coach for a youth basketball team, and I played in national tournaments for my AAU travel team.

Starting my junior year, I felt overwhelmed with practice 2 hours a day and maintaining my grades (which were slipping), so I quit my school team. This puts me in the situation I am now, and I don’t have much to fill in the gap

Seeing as it is less than a year before colleges will decide to accept me, What can I still do? I have not committed to anything this summer and need to do something meaningful. What would you suggest to standout and that I can do in the time I have.

well your bball commitment really would have helped you…i suggest you continue that b/c if u pick s/t up now jr year, it will be quite obvious u did it for college and not cuase u like it

I don’t think returning to my high school team is a possibility since i broke bridges when i left. Does anyone have any suggestions? This is huge for me

i was hoping for some more input, before it sinks off the first couple pages
