What career path can I take with a BA in Geography & Urban Studies?

I was a Biology major with the intention of getting into wildlife conservation but Chemistry became too difficult for me. I switched to Geography because Cartography sounds awesome and spatial phenomena is intriguing. However, Geography covers A LOT of different career avenues and it is stressing me out. In other words, I need some guidance narrowing down my career path.

I would love nothing more than to be outside. I think Cartography is a neat subject as I’m an avid hiker and I utilize maps often. Also, I’d be hesitant to a desk job unless of course it is mixed in with some outdoor commands.

Furthermore, I’m highly interested in grad school but I have no idea what for? What is a good graduate plan for someone with a BA in Geography?

The graduate field that readily comes to mind is Urban & Regional Planning.
Other possibilities: Public Policy (urban); Natural Resources/Environmental Policy; Business (supply chain & logistics); Transportation Policy/Planning; Marine Policy; International Business: Geographic Information Systems (applications in multiple fields); International Relations.

Several of these fields won’t necessarily get you outdoors, however.
