Also, at least one member of the Lions Drumline is an EMU alumni.
I would invite Noah Kahn to visit Plymouth State University. I’d invite him because almost everyone I know on campus- myself included- enjoys his music and would really appreciate his presence. The name of my dream college is Elizabethtown College. I currently attend Elizabethtown as a freshman, but I would not trade it for any other school.
If he were still with us today, I would love to invite Davis Bowie to my dream school, The Fashion Institute of Technology. If I had the chance to invite any celebrity, athlete, or artist to visit John Carroll University (JCU), I’d choose someone like Malala Yousafzai. She’s a powerful advocate for education, particularly for women and girls around the world, and her story of courage and resilience is truly inspiring.
John Carroll, being a Jesuit university, values social justice, intellectual rigor, and community service—values that align so well with Malala’s mission. Her visit would be an opportunity for students to hear firsthand about her experiences, challenges, and the importance of education as a means for positive change. It could spark meaningful conversations about global human rights, the power of education, and how students at JCU could contribute to making the world a better place.
