maybe i’m just weird… but I decided this year that all IB does is prepare you for the college workload. I don’t learn anything in my classes but how to pass the IB test. Is my school just that suckish or does anyone agree? =/

@stephenn: At my school, you can earn weighted GPA (up to 5.0 as opposed to only 4.0), but only in classes that are designated as Honors courses. An AP course is one that is designed to prepare students for the AP exam for the corresponding subject. Thus, AP and Honors are separate designations. As you might imagine, though, all AP courses are Honors courses as well due to their difficulty. There are, on the other hand, Honors courses that are not AP courses.

That was kinda long, but I hope you get it now. =)
