So ive already taken the SAT three times, the first two of which I didnt prepare at all and I did really bad lol, but I think if I take it one more time, I have a chance of a 2200. The problem is: should I retake the SAT or try the Subject Tests.

My plan is to major in an engineering and then go on to Med School. Do I stand a Good chance of being admitted to a Tier 1 school and what should i do to get there. Any advice is appreciated

Cmon guys, show some love!

If you do not take subject tests, a lot of those schools will not accept your SAT scores, unfortunately. I know that with Brown, you must have taken 2 subject tests. However, if you just submit your ACTs you do not need subject tests. My recommendation is to retake the ACT because a 30 is not good enough for any of the schools on your list. I would aim for a 33 to be more competitive for those schools. Your ECs and GPA are very impressive, but unfortunately ACT/SAT scores play a key role in admission. There is an ACT coming up on September 12th, I recommend taking it.

Even if you take the ACT, I would strongly recommend taking the SAT 2 in a few subjects. I know neuprospect98 said 2 subject tests is enough, but a lot of the stronger applications for the schools that you mentioned have more than 2 tests. 2 is a minimum though. Taking Math and Physics would be a good idea since you plan on focusing on engineering. Schools want to see that you’re proficient in those fields.
