Hello everyone!

I’m a junior from Greece and I’m in the process of picking colleges.
Studying in the US is not very popular here, so all the information I have is from a single person - my school’s college counselor.
So any extra opinion is highly valued!

Here is my ‘background’:
-Greek and German citizenship
-mother has finished college, father has not a high-school degree
-I speak fluently Greek, German, English and some French, Norwegian and I’m starting Arabic classes this September
-SAT I: CR700, M680, W710, I’m taking it again in Oct.
-SAT II: German 750, Literature 680, World History 710
-IB classes:
HL–Modern Greek, German, History
SL–Math Studies, Theatre, Philosophy, Biology
(Extended Essay on Philosophy)
-Top 10% (130 students)
-ECs (the most important):
–debate, MUN (President of school’s club), student gov, photography
-Volunteering: political project to inform people about their voting options (May and June '12 elections), two weeks of volunteering in Burundi, Special Olympics
-2 short internships

So you pretty much get my range.
Now, the question is what kind of school is right for me.

It is extremely important that it provides financial aid. I also prefer a college with small classes and caring professors, so I was thinking of a liberal arts college.
Because I had anxiety, depression and eating disorders in the past, I want a school with a more ‘relaxed’ environment but with rigorous academics. Just not extremely competitive that will drive me crazy with anxiety (so I think Ivies are out of the question).
I want to do a double major in history and political science/philosophy/anthropology.

I don’t mind the school’s overall size or location.
