There are literally hundreds of schools where you could get accepted and get a good education. Where would you fit best? For that we need more info:

1) Size: Large public university, private mid-sized, LACs
2) Location: urban/rural/suburban, east/west/etc…
3) Academic interests: Engineering? Music? Anything unusual?
4) Culture: Laid-back or Intense?, Frats? Artsy/Jocks/Quirky, single-sex, religious affiliation, political orientation, etc…(at a big school this matters less: at a LAC, being in the minority may not be your idea of fun)
5) Financial situation: Need merit aid?
6) Special interests EC-wise that need to be accomodated (skiing, surfing, carnatic music…)

Band, i play clarinet and got into All-State band 9th and 10th grade
and i am not sooo sure what you are asking, more that what i already posted?
thank you!!!

I know more about LACs than about mid-sized or large schools, so I have to defer to others.

Your academic/professional interests and music EC are common enough that almost any reputable mid-sized or large school will provide what you need on that score. I gather you don’t care about urban vs. suburban vs. rural in your choice of location. And you don’t express any preferences related to the culture or characteristics of the school. I suggest you pull out the Fiske or another college guide and start reading because the list of schools that meet your criteria is still huge. If you can find a school or two that matches what you are looking for, others can suggest comparable schools.
