Any specific region of the country? Small/Large/Urban/Suburbs/Rural schools? Private/Public? California schools are my domaine so if you are interested in Petrol Engineering, I would consider the Texas schools as stated above^^^. For English, University of San Francisco, Chapman University, Sonoma State, La Verne University, possibly Pepperdine or Loyola Marymount.
No preference as to location but a large college would be nice. @Gumbymom should I apply to Texas A&M or is not worth the App fee @patriot420
