Congrats on your hard work and success! You can get into many, many schools and are worthy of going to them and many more. The bad news is that lots of schools have more qualified applicants than available seats. So many students are denied admission, many of them fully qualified to attend. The good news is that there are many more schools that are not nearly as competitive but have lovely campuses, lots of great students, and terrific academic programs. You’ll find one that works.

Bryn Mawr and Haverford are terrific schools and also very competitive. No one can say whether or not you’d be accepted. We don’t see what the admission reps will see and don’t know how it will resonate with them. Just understand that they are very competitive. You’ll (also) want to find some schools that have higher acceptance rates, so that you can give yourself some choices and can perhaps be able to find a school that is more affordable than others.

I suggest you google lists of schools that claim (at least) that they meet full financial need. So for example, if such a school costs $60k and you can pay $10k, then the school will cover the other $50k. There are not guarantees, and sometimes loans are involved, but it’s a good place to start.

Bryn Mawr appears on some of these lists. Other schools that might appeal based on your interest in Bryn Mawr and Haverford include Holy Cross, Macalester College, Mount Holyoke, Lafayette College, Saint Olaf, Smith College, and Union College. Smith and Mount Holyoke are part of a 5-college consortium (with Amherst, Hampshire, and U Mass-Amherst). All are very good schools. You can probably find some others to explore. Good luck!
