You should look at Northeastern University and University of Miami (Florida). Both have the programs that you want. I’m not sure they are safeties for you, probably more of a match school. More importantly though, both schools have relatively large percentages of international students and for internationals, both schools are test optional, so I would not send your SATs to those schools as particularly your Math score is low for an engineering applicant.

Thank you for the answer, however, I am viewed as a domestic applicant in applications as I only hold U.S Citizenship. Also, do you think the schools I plan on applying to are good matches for me?

Does USF have eng’g?

You’re OOS for all of those publics. Will your parents pay for all these schools? The UC’s will cost $60k per year and you’ll have int’l travel costs plus health insurance costs.

For safeties we need to know how much your family will pay. Safeties must be affordable.

I can confirm that you qualify as test
optional for NEU and UM. I
would not send them your SATs.

Are you sure that University of San Francisco has an Engineering Dept? I was not aware that they had an Engineering School. If I was happy to travel all the way to Northern California from Turkey, you should have a look at Santa Clara University instead.

Clarkson would be strong in the programs you want and would serve as an admissions safety for you.

U San Fran has Bio, Chem, and a Biochem minor so I assume that’s what the OP would take.

^ Okay, you are right. I misread her initial post. For what it’s worth, I really liked USF when we met with the rep at a college fair here.

thanks!

Thanks for the recommendation!
