What colleges have good chemisty/pysics programs

<p>All along my son said he wanted to go into Chemical/Nuclear Engineering. I get the feel that he is leaning towards Chemistry/Physics and not engineering.</p>

<p>I know of the good engineering schools, but what about Chemisty and Physics??</p>

<p>We live in NC. Just looking to see what other schools are out there.</p>

<p>There are many good schools in chemistry and physics. Are you (is he) looking for a large state school, liberal arts college, or a private research institution? Also, to be blunt, are you asking for the most selective colleges or ones that are easier to get into?</p>
