First off I want to attend a school somewhere in California. I want a school that is strong in sciences (particularly physical sciences) and strong in math and engineering.

Well here’s my stats:

White,Male

Junior

First Generation College student

Weighted GPA:4.0 (hoping to boost it up)

IN about the top 8 percent of my class

SAT I 1610 (dec.1)

Junior year schedule:

Spanish III
APUSH
AP chem.
Honors English
Honors precalc
Student government

Community Service:
So far about 100. Ive been helping out at my local senior center.

Awards and Honors:
5 Place in County FBLA conference in Business (I than entered into the State conference)
CSF
*most likely will make NHS this year

Hopefully I get some more awards in Academic decathlon, science Olympiad and FBLA. Planning to retake the SAT I, did horrible on the CR

Breakdown of your SAT I? There’s a difference between 210/700/700 and 500/550/560 lol.

A lot of colleges match you, but that’s not the answer you’re looking for.
Location, weather, prestige, private/public, etc. preferences are all things you should include in your post.

You have plenty of time to raise your SATs.

Assuming that you can get up into the 1800s, I’d say that you have a good chance at the middle tier UCs, Cal Poly, and privates, such as Loyola Marymount, USD, and Pepperdine.

If you can get in the 1900s or above, add the upper-tier UCs, and maybe a school like USC.

Umm let’s see i pretty much got owned on the CR. My breakdown was 440CR/550W (10 essay)/620 math. But yes i have time to retake.

But like I said, anywhere in California. I’m having a hard time finding other schools (other than the UCs) that are good in science/math/engineering.

And World Changer I was also looking at Pepperdine, but do you know why on earth they have such a low acceptance rate?

U of the Pacific would be good too. But with all the public colleges in Cal., you’d probably want to stick with the UCs and the Cal State ________.
