I need to go to a school with good financial aid I will apply to some scholarships but I do not have great stats so I don’t think ill get many.
What colleges should I apply to with these stats? South east schools mostly but open to other colleges. I am not shooting for top colleges, just a college that would suit me and help me find employment after graduation.

GA, my friends is just asking for suggestions of schools he should start looking at. I suggested UC Riverside and University of Tenn to him for example.

He’s a low-income URM - is he also a first-gen college applicant? Look at less-selective privates, not state schools (unless they’re in-state.) Tell him also to join the QuestBridge 2013-2014 FB group and learn more about the program - his combination of circumstances seem to me like he’s a strong candidate. He should consider applying to test-optional schools as well!

@whenhen: Are you reading his stats properly…? QB Finalist puts so much less weight on grades and scores than people’s stories. Perhaps Match - but almost no one gets Matched anyway, and he can pull up his SAT score.
Additionally, he’s a Georgia resident.
