<p>I’m aiming to go to school in the Northeast, namely NYU, Brown, Columbia, or Pratt, for creative writing and photography. I’m a junior and I’m worried about my GPA. I’m in the third decile at my school and take AP Language and Composition, AP European History, IB Environmental, IB Theory of Knowledge, and IB Visual Arts, as well as Precalc R (a senior class). My SAT score is 2040 (reading 670, math 630, writing 740); I might take it again. What schools in or close to New York would be okay with my numbers?</p>
<p>Pratt may place more emphasis on your portfolio. NYU, Brown and Columbia are almost impossible given your class ranking and GPA, I’m afraid</p>
