Hello, I live in Cincinnati and am wondering what colleges with good Engineering programs will want me. I have a 3.76 GPA and a 26 ACT but i’ve only taken it once… I think I’m mainly interested in electrical engineering. I want to go to a good school, but also try to find one that may give me generous aid/schoolership $. Any ideas? Thanks for your help!
Are you a senior? Junior? I would retake the ACT.
I’m a junior and im going to take the SAT and the ACT a second time still…
Use the Supermatch tool on the left side of this page. Ask your parents how much they can afford each year for college. Run the Net Price Calculator on each school’s web site to see how much they will cost.
I’ve used the Supermatch tool, but it doesnt really help me. It seems to come up with random schools that I’m not really interested in… Can anybody recommend some good colleges for engineering that may be able to give me $ given my stance?
U of Akron
U of Cincinnati
Miami University
Ohio University
As these Ohio private colleges;
U of Dayton
Case Western Reserve University
Wright State. http://www.wright.edu/raider-connect/financial-aid/first-year-scholarships Get that ACT up and the scholarship would also go up
However you’d need to increase your score for all of these, and for Case Western to 30-32 which is VERY HARD to do.
I’d stay in-state if you need financial aid, unless you raise your scores.
