Ok, I just bought a beige long cardigan, swingy at the ends…at my new favorite store, Dry Goods. I’m going to wear it with skinny jeans,( medium blue color) and greige boots. Love these boots, can go with grey or beige and they sort of turn more that color with each.
So what color camisole to go with with the outfit, to pull it together? I have dark brown hair. This is how I always get myself in trouble with clothes. Instead of buying an outfit, ala WHBM where all the separates color coordinate, I buy all these separates I love and try to pull it together.
I would not wear a cami with an open front cardigan. Too many things can bulge out. Wear a tee or better yet a bodysuit that can stay tucked in the jeans. Black, to balance the denim.
If you go on Pinterest, search for beige cardigan outfit, lots of ideas there.
I think you could go with a plum tank and it would look nice. Or white. If I did a black tank, I’d wear my black jeans, a solid column of color is very slimming. With a long necklace.
I personally don’t think you need to match your tank to the cardigan, it can look very sweater set. Although I bought a long black cardigan and matching sleeveless turtleneck, it looked good together. But I could go with a plum or gray tank also. If I did do the beige tank and cardigan I would go for a great necklace or scarf.
@deb922 …I went on Pinterest and took a look. I really like the creamy white color, and then I’ll use a long necklace with some color. I’ve got a great one to use!
It isn’t fitted, but loose fitting and not too long. It really makes the cardigan look richer. It’s a large, they were out of the medium, but since it’s worn underneath, you can’t tell.
I would not match the tank to the sweater unless both were black.I have several long sweaters that I wear with skinny jeans. I don’t think I ever match the underlayer with the sweater and I think I look nice. Like @BunsenBurner I usually put a short sleeve T shirt underneath. My favorite under sweater t shirts come from AG jeans which I purchase at the outlet. I like to have the ability to take the sweater off if I get warm. I also have a couple of sleeveless t shirts from JJill that are a bit thicker that I wear under these types of sweaters. Beige or cream on cream washes out my skin. I love plum with grey, black, navy or an off white sweater.
