What considers a bad score?

I know you guys all smart here so 790 is bad for you lol but what do colleges think a bad score would be?

Depends on college.

if anybody knows Boston univ,NYU,Berkeley(california). What do they consider a normal-ok score and how many subject tests do i need to take?

Can you retake subject test if you did bad?

Yes you can retake, but they will see all of your scores (if you are applying for Fall 2010, then you can choose your scores. If you are applying this year, or for Fall 2009 then they will see all of your scores).

But yes, retaking a Subject Test is a good idea.

As for your question for BU/NYU/Cal… you should check their respective websites. I know for sure that Berkeley requires 2 SAT II’s and the SAT or ACT. But I’d say anything 700+ would be good for those schools. Also depends on your major.

Seriously, this is information you can find on their websites… finding the average test score for the admitted students is really one of the easiest things to find. It wouldn’t hurt for you try researching it a bit =/.

take it easy, jchang. it sounds like Future is pretty new at the college process, no? but anyway, you can find average scores on [:: College Planning Made Easy | Inside Source for College Admissions Requirements](http://www.collegeboard.com). the site will also let you compare scores for each school and, if you set up an account, compare yourself to the schools.

its doesnt tell you average SAT subject test scores for those schools though

for what school of NYU are you applying to?
because Stern tend to have a much higher normal sat2 score

as for boston univ, around 650 is normal i heard.
I know a lot of people that got in who didnt get over 700 in any SAT2

Not sure about berkely though

how is 710 (math ii & physics) for the UCs? =/

im applying to business school.Going to at least. If i will take math 1 and math 2-will that consider 2 different sat subject tests?

No, it won’t, Future13.

damn…the problem is i never took precal or math B im in geometry right now.Ive spoke to my SAT teacher and he told me it would be the best if i would take math 1 but 3 colleges that im applying to requier math 2 and i know that if im going to take it i probably going to “fail”(get a very low score). So i dont know what should i do

Why dont you study for math2 off barrons?
I personally thought i wasnt ready for math2, but I ended up doing okay since the curve is very generous

if youre applying to business, you should really take math2 though

Well i have no other choice and im going to agree with you helloitsme.Ill just study and do my best
