…that caused them to feel the need to repeatedly use their “community” essay question on the Michigan supplement? Wasn’t it like something involving racism?

Maybe this? [Grutter v. Bollinger - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Grutter v. Bollinger - Wikipedia)

I’m not sure it has any relation to why Michigan uses the same essay questions every year. Don’t other colleges do that too?

So basically an anti-Affirmative Action case? Didn’t UofM stop its policy of Affirmative Action?

Because Michigan is in love with diversity. Qualifications be dammed if you are “diverse”

Such a politically correct institution, how great

Its helping you a little, so don’t be that bummed

The state of Michigan as a whole outlawed the use of affirmative action in it’s public universities admissions processes. University of Michigan is a very liberal institution, and was no happy about this, so they implement “community” and “diversity” in almost everything they can once you get to the university.

It’s a “Strong Black Woman’s” world (when it comes to getting into stuff). Get used to it.

Yep. It was Gratz v. Bollinger which it looks like someone above me mentioned. I believe I wrote about it in my AP Gov essay :D

Don’t feel like you cannot write an essay against Affirmative Action

Here is a helpful link for writing essays ([Office of Undergraduate Admissions: Tips for Writing a Great Essay](http://www.admissions.umich.edu/essay/tips/))

“If making an argument, back it up with consistent facts. Have an opinion about global warming? Affirmative action? Think that capital punishment is evil? Why? Your argument should be supported by facts, not the opinions of others”

I wrote an essay against Affirmative Action last year and it turned out well.

777Blue77 I would love to read it, can you PM it to me?
