What Coop class to sign up for??

I will be a sophmore in the fall, majoring in economics, and want to do my first coop in the summer of '10. What coop class should I sign up for? Thanks.

Im pretty sure that each major will conduct its own coop class, or its grouped by colleges.

The economics department uses Professor Basu as their co-op advisor, so you need to sign up for EXED 2000 with Basu as the professor. There are two offered in the fall semester. However if your first co-op is next summer II/fall then you should take the co-op class in the spring.

Email your adviser or the coop adviser for your major and ask.

You don’t even have to ask… If you’re economics, it’s Professor Basu’s sections (pick one) of EXED 2000.

Are you sure when, though? When I was a freshman, I was told to take it second semester of my freshman year (although I was going on coop first semester of my middler year). I know it’s changed since then, which is why you are saying the semester immediately before, but who’s to say it hasn’t changed again? That’s all I was thinking.

I am an economics major and asked Basu already. She is the co-op advisor for both the economics and mathematics departments, and because of that she requested that if possible a student should wait to take the co-op class in the semester before because it is easier for the student and herself that way. A do know of particular majors that take the co-op class their freshman year, like most biology majors. You are of course allowed to take the co-op next semester no matter what, but it is preferred by the advisor to take it second semester.
