<p>I know there’s a certain date that I have to officially decline going to a college before you have to pay a certain amount of money of the tuition. I sent in a deposit to two colleges. Does anyone know of the date/around the time it may be?</p>

<p>It is against the rules at every college I know about to submit 2 deposits. </p>
<p>Second, since you’re already in for a penny you might as well be in for a pound. Dishonesty perpetuates itself… Write a letter to the school you don’t want to go to, say you were accepted off a waitlist somewhere else (don’t name the other school!!) You will lose your deposit, but hopefully your actions will be undiscovered and the other school will keep you.</p>
