What did YOU do with your deferral/rejection letter?

I taped mine above my desk, directly above my laptop, so that I can look at the symbol of my failure to motivate me while I work on the rest of my apps ;)

Haha nice

I stuffed it neatly back into the envelope and hid it into the bottom of my drawer. Hopefully (though not likely), it will someday be replaced by an acceptance letter.

I was planning on hanging it on my wall to congratulate myself on having applied to Yale without getting rejected, but then I lost the letter.

xrCalico23, I don’t know why, but I found your comment hilarious. As for me, I kind of lost my deferral letter. It’s somewhere in my house.

I THREW IT ON THE GROUND.

I’m not a part of their system.

I’m an adult, man.

^HAHAHAHAHAHA omg I seriously cracked up at this
best reference ever :D

for those of you who dont get the joke…
[YouTube - Andy Samberg - “I Threw It On The Ground” (SNL)](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_HvzLioOgU)

hahaha that was so funny

Stupefy, I’m glad you posted that. I’m wrapping my last essays, and I’m freaking out, and that just made me laugh so hard. Thank you for that.

Christiansoldier, you got defferred/rejected? Ouch. I’m sorry. I didn’t apply EA, but that worries me. I have the same ACT and SAT subject test scores, (but 3 of them, not 6). that doesn’t bode well for me. Haha

you’re welcome! thank christian for making the reference. I watch SNL regularly, so I immediately got that ;)

happy birthday to the GROUND
my dads not a phone! DUH

@panky- it doesnt bode well for ANY of us -.-

Hahahahaha.

I don’t know why I’m laughing at the fact that an impending doom probably loooms.

But I guess I am because there isn’t anything I could do about it. I really don’t want to go to Notre Dame and get saddled with 200k in debt. (if i get rejected from all ivies + duke + stanford, haha)

dam n you applied to ALL ivies?! crazyy. I would’ve too if not for the fact that i suck at math/science (ie cornell) and I would never go to dartmouth.

you got into ND early? congrats! one of my best guy friends got in too, he was so happy (that was his first choice)

…technically in the process of applying (minus columbia and brown, just not interested in those). Hence why I’m freaking out to finish writing and editing essays.

Thanks on ND!

I apologize for hijacking this thread to all you other people :(

GASP! I love columbia! haha. how many do you have left?
I have ONE FREAKING MORE. its NYU and I’m just proofreading the supplement now. so happy to be almost done

I kinda regret applying to yale SCEA now (seeing as how it was a waste- its almost as if I applied nowhere) when I could’ve applied to somewhere like ND or georgetown or uchicago and felt good getting early (instead of feeling like I’ll have to go to pennstate)

I was browsing through the thread, then I saw:

OMG same here!!! Hahaha this is so funny. That’s exactly the reason why I didn’t apply to cornell and why I really don’t want to go to a school in the wilderness…like dmouth.

CC is amazing. I find all sorts of people like me. lol

haha, I really love Cornell for its math and science and really Dartmouth for the wilderness… yeah, I love how one can find all sorts of people on here:)

Haha you are SO my twinnie  AND we both got deferred. AND we’re both asian girls. lets see where we get accepted come april!! that’d be so creepy if our lists were the same…

lol, my deferral letter is currently under several massive piles of books, binders, and college essays. for all I know, I lost it. tristan101 I agree, hopefully it’ll be replaced by an acceptance letter soon…

I’m recycling my yale supplement for princeton and columbia, so, with some tweaking, I’ll soon be done with all my apps. hopefully.

lolll and we both applied to 12 schools. with a 7 school overlap. and i almost applied to nyu/georgetown. this is getting freaky. haha

@chibistar6: i know, i sooo hope so. same here, i just had two major essays that i basically tweaked and sent off to every college haha

AND if you remember, a few days ago we both had 11 apps done, and 1 to go o.o

12 schools? 12?!? No wonder the acceptance rates for schools are falling drastically… >_>
